Jeff Funk: Lead Cultivation Expert & Commercial Cultivation Specialist

Jeff Funk is Organitek’s and Success Nutrients Lead Cultivator, bringing decades of hands-on growing experience and deep-rooted agricultural knowledge to the team. A third-generation farmer, Jeff began cultivating cannabis in the nineties, spending several seasons “on the hill” in California's famed Emerald Triangle. That early experience - trimming, bucking, curing, and dodging helicopters - built the original foundation for the scientific precision he now brings to modern R&D.

Jeff methodically worked his way towards successfully owning and operating his own large commercial co-op in the Sierra Nevada foothills. This period honed his expertise in large-scale compliance, nutrient management, and facility optimization.

In 2019, Jeff transitioned his hands-on expertise from running his farm to supporting the science behind the harvest, joining Organitek. He now oversees research and operations at the Organitek Ranch — the heartbeat of the company's research and development (R&D) efforts.

At the Ranch, Jeff is responsible for rigorous testing protocols, observing, notating, and fine-tuning formulas for bigger, healthier yields. This current role provides the verifiable scientific backing and commercial expertise shared through all Success Nutrients content.

Jeff has consolidated decades of plant science and real-world lab findings into his Hi-Fi Cultivation Framework. This series serves as a technical translation for the modern grower, treating the canopy as a high-fidelity bio-electric circuit. By bridging the gap between academic research and hands-on cultivation, Jeff helps growers decode "Hardware Failures" in the Penthouse (the top of the plant) and "Power Lags" in the Basement (the bottom of the plant), translating the plant’s biological electricity into a clear roadmap for eliminating signal static and protecting terpene fidelity.
